The First Annual 2010 "Purrrr-fect Howl-o-ween" Party

The Purrrfect Howl-O-Ween Party!

AVHCC held our 1st Purrfect Howl-O-Ween Celebration on Saturday, October 30th. We invited clients and new comers alike to come out and help us celebrate the 1st of what we hope to becomes an Annual Event for us. We had many fun activities for all of the animals and their families. While the animals were getting their $4 nail trims and half price microchipping the kids enjoyed face-painting and cookie decorating. There were goodies for all. We had a costume contest and a pumpkin carving contest. Door prize drawings every half hour mark, giving away our coveted Stainless Steel AVHCC Coffee Travel Mugs, and final door prize, a Coleman Camping Coffee Maker with a gift card to Starbucks. All of the proceeds from the $4.00 Nail Trims went to The Wildlife Center of Virginia to benefit animals injured in the Gulf Oil Spill.

Congratulations to all of our winners: The winner for our grand-prize drawing was Anita Shelbourne. Anita won a Coleman Camping Coffee Maker, along with a gift card to Starbucks. Costume Contest Winner: Pets: "Nibbler", Roxie, owned by Teri Hamer. Adult Costume: Little Red Riding Hood, Lynn .Childrens Costume: "Dorothy", Cara Miller.
