Veterinary Assistants

Veterinary Assistants are highly trained staff members who assist doctors and technicians. They are responsible for client service and education, patient nursing care, laboratory management, and housekeeping among other things.



            

Megan Dabney, AVA

Megan has been with the AVHCC team since June 2007, where she began as a kennel assistant while she was in high school. She has completed an 8-month long certificate program and is now a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Megan plans to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the future.

Megan is the proud parent of two bunnies, Thumper and Annabelle.

   
 
       Nicole Wilcox

Nicole grew up in Charlottewsville and attended High Point University in North Carolina. She has two dogs, Jade and Bailey.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys camping, hiking and taking her dogs swimming.
